58-year-old Gulshan Akhtar from Srinagar was diagnosed with a rare and severe heart condition (Acute Type A Aortic Dissection with Aneurysmal Dilation) in which a tear occurs in the heart’s main artery (aorta) that continues to split with time. She also had a bulge in the aorta that could rupture and lead to severe internal bleeding in the heart.
